The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), has held a workshop in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) to develop a national strategy aimed at combating non-communicable diseases in Libya, with the participation of the Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity.
The event comes within the framework of the WHO effort to promote health for populations of different age groups, according to a statement by the WHO office in Libya Facebook page.
The NCDC Director Haider Al-Sayeh, said, in an opening speech at the workshop, that the development of this strategy came in response to the results of the national survey on noncommunicable diseases, which lasted more than a year and a half in cooperation with the WHO.
