The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has revealed that 70% of cold-related cases in the city of Al-Bayda were caused by the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), while 30% were attributed to Influenza B.

In a statement, the NCDC clarified that 95% of RSV cases were among children, whereas 50% of Influenza B cases were found in adults, with the remaining cases affecting children.

The center also noted, based on observations from its monitoring and investigation team, that none of the affected individuals had received the seasonal flu vaccine.
