Niger Ambassador to Libya, Al-Hussain Mellul, has denied any presence of armed opposition groups from his country on the Libyan soil.
During his meeting with the President of the High Council of State, Abdulrahman Sewehli, in Tripoli, Mellul stressed Niger's respect for the sovereignty and independence of Libya and its support for the restoration of security and stability in the country.
On his part, Sewehli praised Niger’s stance on standing at one distance from all conflicting parties in Libya, according to his media office.
The meeting also discussed the bilateral relations, the security situation on the Libya-Niger borders and the illegal migration file.
