The US Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, and Chargé d'Affairs at the US Embassy to Libya, Leslie Ordeman, have held a meeting with the Minister of State for Women's Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Houria Al-Tarmal.
The Special Envoy, Ambassador Norland, said on his Twitter account: “A useful meeting with the Minister of State for Women’s Affairs, Houria Al-Tarmal, to discuss her efforts on behalf of women full participation in the political and social life in Libya.”
The US envoy has also held a meeting with Minister of Local Government Badr al-Din al-Toumi, in which he appreciated the leadership of the Minister of Local Government al-Toumi on the municipal sector, and the progress made by the Administrative Council of Murzuq towards advancing peace.
