The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Libya confirmed that nearly half of the IDPs from areas of clashes in Tripoli are children.

"The number of IDPs since the beginning of the aggression on Tripoli on April 4 exceeded 100,000 people," the UN office clarified in a tweet a couple of days ago.

The Crisis Committee and the Displaced and Refugee Affairs of the Ministry of Social Affairs have documented more than 21,900 IDP families, 20,500 of them are staying private houses and about 1400 staying in refugee centres, according to the Information Department of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
