An inter-agency mission has concluded a three-day assessment trip to the municipalities of Sousa, Shahhat, Derna, and Al Bayda in eastern Libya.

The mission comprised representatives from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Libya (OCHA), UN and international organizations, the Libyan Relief Agency, and the Zakat Fund.

The primary objective is to evaluate the humanitarian response to the Daniel storm, which hit northeastern Libya in mid-September.

The insights obtained from this mission are expected to play a significant role in adapting and broadening the urgent call to action for the flood response.

(OCHA) emphasized that direct engagement with affected communities will provide essential feedback that will be incorporated into the response strategies.
