A member of the subcommittee in the 5-5 military talks, Mohamed Turjaman, said that the second phase of mine clearance restarted last Thursday and included areas extending from Buirat Al-Hassun on to the Al-Khamseen Gate.

Turjaman explained in a press statement that the duty of the subcommittee is due to be completed within two days, adding that a report which has been prepared will be sent to the Joint Military Committee.

He indicated that the Joint Military Committee will determine the date for the reopening of the coastal road, confirming that both parties have agreed to send a request to the Security Council to issue a resolution on the removal of mercenaries from Libya to achieve stability.
