Libyan Ministry of Education has announced the start of final exams for basic and secondary education ordinary levels across the country.

The ministry explained in a post on its Facebook account that more than 1.278,000 male and female students applied for exams, with 1.04 million students at the basic education stage and 237,498 students at the secondary education stage.

Minister of Education, Musa Al-Maqrif, stressed that cases of cheating and accomplices in such acts will not be tolerated, and that such cases will be dealt with firmly to ensure that fraud is scaled down and not repeated.

The ministry will do its best to provide everything that helps students to perform well in their exams, he added.
