Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, ordered Thursday the security services to open a thorough investigation into the seizure of two containers loaded with weapons and ammunition in the port of Khoms.
Al-Sarraj instructed the Foreign Ministry to address the Turkish authorities, in order to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, according to the PC's government official page.
The customs and security services in Khoms port confirmed on December 18, the seizure of two containers loaded with weapons and ammunition coming from Turkey.
