The Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG), of the Ministry of Defence said on Saturday that its forces are awaiting orders to begin the process of liberating the remaining oil fields from the grips of Haftar’s militias and his loyalists.
This came in a statement on Saturday made by the commander of the PFG Ali Al-Deeb, in which he confirmed that the PFG had opened the valves linking the Sharara oil field and the Al-Zawiya refinery.
Al-Deeb added that the PFG had also been successful in opening the valve linking the Sharara oil field and Millitah Oil Complex, making it the second valve to be reopened within 24 hours.
