The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has confirmed that the 360-km Ubari-Ghat road maintenance project, which connecting four municipalities in the southern region, is proceeding in full swing, after the first stages began this month.
In January 2022, the GNU signed a contract with a coalition of Egyptian companies to implement and expand the Ubari-Ghat road, with a length of 360 kilometers in the southwest, and Ajdabiya-Jalo, with a length of 252 kilometers in the east of the country, with a total financial cost amounting to about 3.734 billion dinars.
