The lawyer for the accused Abdullah Al-Senussi, Ahmed Nashad, has confirmed that the court heard in Monday’s session one of the defendants in the case related to the trial of 36 accused leaders of the former regime, which included the suppression of demonstrators in the February 17 revolution.
Nashad added in a statement that this session was postponed to May 27, noting that the problem remains in listening to Al-Baghdadi Al-Mahmoudi, who was released for health reasons, and he was unable to attend due to his presence outside the country.
He suggested that the court would proceed with the case in the absence of the defendants who were unable to appear before it, most notably Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, Abdullah Al-Senussi, and Al-Baghdadi Al-Mahmoudi, and that the ruling in this case would be issued next June, according to what he said.
