Russia's ambassador to Libya, Aydar Aghanin, has visited the Libyan Olympic Committee, expressing his country's readiness to cooperate in developing sports in Libya, and setting up camps for distinguished athletes in Russia.

Aghanin invited Libya to participate in an international tournament to be held in Russia during next June, with the participation of a number of European, African and Asian countries.

The Olympic Committee explained that the visit of the Russian ambassador, which came at his request, comes within the framework of strengthening relations between Libyan youth and their Russian counterpart.
