Residents and civil society organizations in Sabha held a protest Monday under the slogan "Silent No More," in which they condemned the deterioration of the living, humanitarian and security conditions in the city.

In a statement, the protesters demanded the Presidential Council and representatives of the South in the House of Representatives to find radical solutions to the situation in the city, holding them accountable for the deterioration of the conditions in Sabha and the entire southern region.

The statement also called on the Union of the South Municipalities to form a security room in order to address the poor security conditions in the region, pointing out that the marginalization of the south could escalate the situation and lead some aggrieved persons to close down gas pipelines or oil fields.
