The administration at Sabratha Hospital was forced to close their facility until further notice.

The decision was made after a militia loyal to Haftar began a campaign of harassment on nursing staff, doctors and other hospital employees which impeded on their performance and ability to care for the patients.

Subsequently, the hospital was forced to close, citing that this incident was not the first of its kind at the establishment and that the safety and security of staff and patients was their main concern in making their decision.
