The head of the Military Council of Sabratha, Tahir Al-Gharabli, has strongly rejected the outcomes of the Cairo meeting aimed at the unification of the Libyan army under the auspices of the Egyptian regime.

On a TV statement, Al-Gharabli explained that the army officers cannot meet under the supervision of a foreign country accused of intervening in Libya’s security affairs, adding that any meeting or dialogue in this regard must be held within the Libyan territory.

He added that building a strong military institution in Libya is not in the interest of neighboring countries, stressing on the unity of the Libyan army and the impossibility of accepting any defectors from the army.
