The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced the successful restart of Methanol Plant II by Sirte Oil Company after being out of operation for more than seven years.
The NOC confirmed that the plant has begun actual production following the successful installation and testing of the natural gas heater.
Additionally, NOC stated that the company’s technical teams are currently working on restarting Methanol Plant I by carrying out comprehensive maintenance, installing thermal reformer pipes, and upgrading the control system.
