A security source from Ghat has confirmed that clashes took place Saturday between a military patrol and a group of gunmen near the Junoon Cave.
The source explained that 7 gunmen opened fire at the patrol, resulting in clashes between the two parties. A white Toyota was seen carrying seven gunmen while fleeing towards the area of Tahala, south of Gat.
The source noted that the area is currently besieged by security forces, indicating that the gunmen are believed to be behind the abduction of Turkish engineers working for Ubari gas-fired power plant.
