Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, has stated that “Russia has become weaker,” as large cracks appeared in its military system, that was pioneered by the “Wagner” private military group.

In an interview with La Stampa newspaper on Monday, Tajani said that this matter would constitute a great loss for Moscow in Ukraine as well as in North Africa.

He explained that Wagner's influence was harmful in those areas, which led to destabilization of the region and impacted the migration flows, and there these divisions now.

The head of Italian diplomacy added that his country does not think of supporting the leader of Wagner, but rather Italy defends the independence of Ukraine, and does not interfere in the political life in Russia.
