The Public Prosecution has ordered the imprisonment of the Chairman of the National Development and Investment Company and the company’s Executive Director on charges of misuse of public funds.
The Public Prosecution conducted an investigation into reports regarding the company concluding a contract with a foreign company specialized in the field of construction, to implement the South Gheyran project.
The investigations revealed that the two defendants deliberately disbursed 2,842,000 dollars to the foreign company without carrying out all the contracted work.
