The UN envoy to Libya Abdoulaye Bathily wished Libyans a blessed Ramadan on his X account, saying he hopes Ramadan inspires all Libyan leaders to foster peace, dialogue and unity and find a sustainable solution for the Libyan people that ends the country’s division and instability.

"Our thoughts go to all those whose impacted by the political and humanitarian crisis & worsening economy. We also remember those spending Ramadan away from their homes & families, whether due to displacement, fear for their safety, or unlawful detention." Bathily added.

Ramadan starts on March 12 (Tuesday) in Libya according to the announcement of Libyan Fatwa House.
