Georgette Gagnon, Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Resident Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya, confirmed the United Nations Support Mission in Libya's (UNSMIL) readiness to support the Presidential Council (PC) in achieving reconciliation and transitional justice in Libya.
During her meeting with PC member Abdullah Al-Lafi in Tripoli, she provided a comprehensive overview of her visit to Ghadames and the outcomes of her recent tours and meetings in various cities in eastern Libya.
According to the PC media office, Al-Lafi praised UNSMIL's efforts and ongoing cooperation in promoting national reconciliation and freedoms and human rights in Libya.
