The University of Tripoli has obtained ISO 9001 certification, after meeting the requirements designated under ISO which requires organizations to define and follow a quality management system.
The university applied for accreditation five months ago, to become the first university in Libya obtaining this certification, and among the first in the North African region, according to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, hoping that this step will push the rest of the Libyan universities to apply for the certification as well.
The certification will enable the University of Tripoli to update and continuously develop administrative procedures.
