The United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) has provided a Libyan NGO with equipment to assist in the disposal of explosive war equipment.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) said in a Facebook post that the UNMAS provided Free Fields organization with medical and explosive ordnance disposal equipment to enhance their capacity in dealing with Explosive Remnants of War.

The UNMAS announced last February the end of the first phase of the Explosive Remnants of War initiative in Misrata with the disposal of 200 tons of explosive remnants of war.
