Acting Head of UNSMIL Stephanie Koury has reiterated the mission's commitment to enhancing the full integration of Libyan women in the political process.
Following her participation in the second conference of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) on women and elections, Koury reaffirmed that the mission would "continue supporting Libyans, women and men, in their efforts for fair women's representation in elected bodies at municipal and national levels."
The conference, which included over 60 women, discussed legal challenges to women's full participation in elections and recommendations for overcoming them.
