The Libyan national football team has climbed 6 places in the latest classification issued by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).

This progress came after a series of positive results recently under the leadership of Serbian coach “Micho”, as the Libyan team ranked No. 114 in the world with 1166.72 points in the FIFA classification for April this year.

The Knights of the Mediterranean team climbed to rank 27th in Africa and 14th in the Arab world, after completing 11 official and friendly matches without losing since the arrival of Micho to become the coach of the Libyan national team.

Libya is awaiting important events next June when it faces the Mauritius and Cape Verde teams in the African continent’s qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup finals, which will be held at the stadiums of Canada, Mexico and the United States of America.
