The Municipality of Tripoli Center announced the formation of a joint committee concerned with resolving and dismantling traffic jams on most of the roads within Tripoli Center, in addition to developing urgent technical solutions.
The Municipality indicated that the committee is formed in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation, the Tripoli Security Directorate, the Traffic Department, and the Public Services Company, in order to limit the blockage of driving lanes and obstruction of the smooth movement of traffic in the main and secondary roads of the city.
It also confirmed that there would be strict measures against vehicle owners who put their cars on the sidewalks and places that could not be occupied as parking lots.
The procedures will also affect the shops that are on the corners of the main roads and adjacent to the roundabouts that do not abide by the specifications of the location and place, thus causing congestion and illegally occupying them for commercial profit.
