The General Authority for Research and Identification of Missing Persons announced on Tuesday the burial of 20 bodies recovered from Sirte after taking the necessary DNA samples to identify them, stressing that its specialized teams are continuing their efforts to identify the missing persons who were recovered earlier.
The Authority said on its Facebook page that the Forensic Medicine Department conducted an examination of these bodies, took the necessary samples from them and sent to the Laboratory for matching with reference samples taken from the families of the missing persons.
The General Authority for Research and Identification of Missing Persons confirmed the burial of the 20 bodies after fulfilling the legal and legitimate aspects, noting its continued diligent work in coordination with all relevant authorities to ensure providing full support to the families of the missing persons.
