The Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army, General Mohammed Al-Haddad, held a meeting with his Nigerien counterpart in Niamey, focusing on the security challenges affecting both countries. 

The talks emphasized the necessity of collaborative efforts to stabilize the region and strengthen bilateral cooperation in border security and counter-terrorism.

During his official visit to Niger, General Al-Haddad, accompanied by a military delegation, was welcomed by the Chief of Staff of the Nigerien Army, the Commander of the Presidential Guard, and senior military officials. The Libyan Charge d'Affaires and embassy staff also attended the reception.

The General Staff media centre reported that General Al-Haddad held meetings with military officials at the Nigerien Army headquarters in Niamey, acknowledging the solid relations between the two nations. The discussions provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the changing regional landscape.

Additionally, General Al-Haddad held consultations with the Deputy President of Niger's National Council and Minister of Interior, underscoring the importance of establishing communication channels and reciprocal visits to reinforce the bonds between the two countries. The Deputy President warmly welcomed General Al-Haddad and the Libyan delegation, highlighting the long-standing ties between the two nations.
