Libya's Al-Hilal drew Rwandan Rayon Sports 1-1 on Sunday in the first leg match of CAF Confederation Cup's round of 32 in Kigali. The two goals of the match came in the second half.

With the draw, qualifying for the group stage in is now postponed to the second leg match, which will also be held in Rwanda, after the two clubs agreed to play the two matches in Kigali.

Only a goalless draw is enough for Rayon Sport to advance to the group stage, benefiting from the difference in away goals, on the other hand, Al-Hilal must now win or draw with more that 1-1 tie in order to avoid early exit from the tournament.

It is noteworthy that the management of Al-Hilal asked CAF to allow it to withdraw without sanctions on the club after the disaster that struck eastern Libya on September 11. However, CAF refused to allow the Libyan team to withdraw, but agreed to postpone the match for a week after which the Libyan club management agreed with the Rwandan club to play two home and away matches in Kigali within a week.
