CAF Confederation Cup

Tripoli-based Abu Salim club has secured a 2-0 victory over Guinea's Co Coyah in at the Chahid Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium in Algeria in the 4th round of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The two goals of the match were scored by Mahmoud Al-Bwashi and Hossam Al-Bani in the 19th and 65th minutes, respectively, to place Abu Salim closer to the quarter-finals of the African Confederation Cup.

With this result, Abu Salim is in second place in the second group standings with 9 points collected from 3 victories, behind Egyptian Zamalek with 10 points, which guaranteed qualification to the next round.

While the Guinean Co Coyah came at the bottom of the second group standings with zero points, while the Sagrada Club came in third place with 4 points. 

In the same context, Libya’s Al Hilal FC lost 2-1 to Super Sport United of South Africa at Peter Mokaba Stadium in South Africa.

With this result, Al Hilal faces difficulty qualifying for the second round after its third loss in its group, leaving its score at only three points.
