Vice President of the Presidential Council (PC) Musa Al-Koni met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Saturday in the Gambian capital of Banjul on the sidelines of the 15th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Fidan reiterated Turkey's commitment to supporting Libya's efforts towards achieving stability, emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations between the two nations.
Their meeting addressed a range of topics, including bilateral cooperation, regional stability, and current issues within the Arab and Islamic world, notably the Palestinian cause and the conflict in Gaza.
Both officials stressed the need for coordinated efforts to halt aggression and facilitate humanitarian aid to affected civilians.
The ongoing OIC Summit, held under exceptional circumstances to address pressing matters affecting the Muslim world, is expected to yield recommendations aimed at serving the collective interests of member states.
