The Defence Minister, Salah Al-Namroush called on the Chief of Staff, the Commander of military areas, along with the Chiefs of the Joint Operations Room, to remain in a state of readiness for any and all possible attacks by Haftar and his militias and mercenaries.

He called on the aforementioned to await the instructions of the Supreme Commander, to counter-attack the sources of the fire, confirming that the intelligence information received clearly indicates that warlord Khalifa Haftar may attack the cities of Bani Walid, Gharyan and Tarhuna.

Al-Namroush called for all measures to be taken to drive back the enemies and prevent any conceivable attack and to proceed with the utmost care and caution.

He said that the Libyan Army is totally committed to the truce, sponsored by the international community and likewise to the ceasefire, which Haftar has attempted to break on more than one occasion.

Al-Namroush indicated that the Libyan Army would never abandon Sirte, Jufrah, or a single inch of Libyan soil.
