The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sirraj, met Saturday with the commanders of the military zones to go over the new security arrangements in Tripoli.

The military officials and Al-Sirraj also tackled the security conditions in southern Libya as well as the current efforts aiming at unifying the Libyan military institution.

The commander of western military zone, Osama Al-Juwaili, Tripoli military zone's commander Abdelbasit Marwan, and the commander of the central military zone Mohammed Al-Haddad all attended the meeting.

Al-Sirraj's media office reported on Facebook that besides Tripoli security arrangements' implementation, the meeting went over the southern security status.

It added that they also reviewed the efforts to unify the military institution in the country as per the Libyan Political Agreement signed in Skhirat, Morocco, on December 17, 2015.

The officials also discussed the conditions of the personnel of the military institution and the needed requirement to work efficiently in the coming period.

The Presidential Council issued previously an order to the commander to form a joint military force that ends conflicts in Tripoli and establishes the ceasefire, plus makes sure the displaced community safely return to their houses.
