The Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum has reiterated its support for the unity and sovereignty of Libya, rejecting military solutions to the ongoing crisis in the region.
In its closing statement, the forum expressed support for holding presidential and parliamentary elections in Libya at the earliest possible time, in alignment with the Libyan people's aspirations for security and stability.
The statement also highlighted the group's opposition to foreign interference in Libya's affairs, reaffirming the principle of Libyan ownership of the political process and adherence to the Libyan Political Agreement, which was signed in Skhirat in 2015.
It expressed support for comprehensive national reconciliation under the auspices of the Presidential Council and called for the withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya.
Additionally, the group commended the efforts of the "5+5" Joint Military Committee in bolstering the ceasefire and urged the unification of security and military institutions under a single executive authority.
