The eastern-based parallel government has signed six memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Belarus, expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
The agreements, finalized in Benghazi following talks between Prime Minister Osama Hamad and Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich, cover agriculture, industry, mining, healthcare, education, and security.
Under the deals, Belarus will supply Libya with agricultural machinery, seeds, and food processing equipment, while also assisting with mining exploration and providing industrial vehicles such as fire trucks and waste collection trucks.
In healthcare, Libya is set to receive medical supplies and training for professionals, with provisions for Libyan citizens to receive treatment in Belarusian hospitals.
The two sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation in disaster response and law enforcement, with plans to establish a joint contact group to oversee the implementation of these agreements.
