A source from Derna reported that a father, Faraj Al-Mizyani, and his son – Ibrahim Faraj Al-Mizyani, were killed in an airstrike on Al-Ardam district near Al-Hila in southern Derna by Khalifa Haftar’s warplanes.
The father and the son were killed Monday due to an airstrike by Haftar when they were on their way to Um Al-Rizim district to cash out their salaries from there, the sources added, saying that their bodies arrived at Al-Harish hospital in Derna, with one of the bodies having his head separated from the body.
The member of the State Supreme Council, Mansour Al-Hasadi, denounced this incident and reiterated his condemnation of the continuous bombing of Derna and the besiege of its residents by the Dignity Operation’s forces amid the silence of the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government and the HoR.
“The Presidential Council and the HoR along with the UNSMIL shoulder the responsibility for the bloodshed caused by the airstrike.” Al-Hasadi added, pointing out that bombing Derna can undermine the political process and jeopardize the social security in the region.
Last Thursday, a similar airstrike hit a number of civilian houses in Shiha neighborhood in Derna killing a woman and her two children.
