The current stage is sensitive in light of the world's engagement with other issues and the inability of the Security Council to name a UN envoy for Libya, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Fawzi al-Nuwairi said on Sunday.

Al-Nuwari said following a meeting attended by 48 MPs on Sunday that the session's goal was to enhance confidence and communication between members of Parliament and not to create division.

"This requires the Libyans to meet with Parliament members to reach a roadmap with solutions to all crises and tracks, foremost of which is the constitutional path, which would lead to elections," the HoR deputy speaker said.

He underscored that Libya will not be stable without imposing clear time-bound target dates until reaching elections insisting that conditions are currently ripe for that.

"The matter is not to deny or accept the executive authority, but it's a question of a constitutional rule that will be the key to resolving all outstanding issues."
