The Turkish-Libyan Hospital in Misrata has signed a cooperation agreement with the Libyan Iron and Steel Company, the largest industrial company in the country, the Turkish Karanfil Group said on Wednesday.

The group, which opened the facility last November, praised the hospital's "success," saying it managed to reach out to a wide spectrum of the public within several months thanks to its good services.

The agreement with the Libyan Iron and Steel Company will allow the company's employees to benefit from the health and medical services of the hospital.

Chairman of the Karanfil Group, Morteza Karanfil, expressed his hope that the new agreement would bring good to both sides, adding that the hospital has helped Libya's healthcare system to address the need of the population.

He indicated the possibility of concluding similar cooperation agreements with other parties in the future.

Last November, Misrata announced the opening of the first Libyan-Turkish hospital in Libya run by Turkish doctors.
