The head of Libya’s High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Emad Al-Sayeh, has held talks with Iraq’s Ambassador to Libya, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, on bolstering cooperation in electoral management.

During a meeting in Tripoli on Tuesday, the two officials discussed exchanging expertise in election administration and enhancing the capabilities of electoral staff.

The HNEC emphasized the importance of learning from international experiences to ensure transparency and integrity in future polls.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi ambassador commended the commission’s role in strengthening democracy and reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to providing technical support and training to aid electoral processes in both countries.

Both sides agreed to continue cooperation in logistical and technical fields to support democratic governance.
