Dignity Operation warplanes intensified airstrikes in Al-Jufra district, central Libya, Tuesday night hitting several military and civilian targets.
Sources reported that Dignity Operation conducted 10 airstrikes causing panic among local residents.
One of the airstrikes had targeted Al-Wahat Hotel in Hun town, leaving around five people dead, according to medical sources. A video shared by Al-Nabaa TV showed fighters rescuing civilians from under the rubble of a collapsed building in Hun.
Residents said they heard several loud explosions while fighter jets were hovering over the area for several hours.
Tagreft Brigade, Sabha Martyrs’ Brigade, Illegal Immigration Fight Squad and the Military Police had been also targeted.
Al-Jufra mayor condemned the repeated airstrikes on civilian sites in the area regarding them a challenge to international norms and laws.
