A task team assigned by the Presidential Council conducted an inspection visit to "Alshgega" city of Mount Nafusa to take stock of the conditions in the region and inspect the service facilities that were damaged during previous clashes.

The team recommended the establishment of prefabricated schools, and to implement the -Alshgega-Al-Owainiyah Road project, which constitutes a vital corridor connecting the city to neighboring areas, the communication, and media office of the GNA stated Tuesday, on its Facebook page.

The officials also toured a number of health facilities, which locals complain, do not correspond to their needs.

Another issue was the poor water system. The residents complained they had to truck water to their homes, as the main wells feeding the area are out of service. They demanded the issue be addressed by deepening the wells and installing pumps.

PC Vice President, Ahmed Maiteeq met days ago with the elders of Alshgega town, who briefed him on the difficulties hindering the delivery of services to the population. He vowed to take the necessary measures in this regard, including providing appropriate financial authorization during the fiscal year 2020.
