Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has lauded the UN Envoy Abdoulaye Bathily for his briefing on Libya Tuesday.
Dbeibah emphasized the importance of maintaining stability to ensure successful elections and acknowledged Bathily's concerns regarding the negative impacts of division on this effort.
He expressed support for unification efforts in security, military, economic, and social institutions in a statement he shared on his Facebook account Tuesday.
The PM also emphasized the importance of fulfilling the Libyans' desire to renew the legitimacy of all governing bodies through the ballot box.
"Let us all move towards fulfilling the will of the Libyan people," Dbeibah said, which he explained was to bring an end to the transitional stages while restoring trust in the government through successful elections.
