Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah discussed measures for reopening the Ras Jedir border crossing with Tunisia.

During his meeting with Minister of Interior Emad al-Tarabulsi on Sunday, Dbeibah reviewed the procedures for securing and operating the crossing border.

The PM highlighted the ongoing efforts by the Agency for Development and Improvement of Administrative Centres to enhance the main entrances and equip the border crossing with all its needs, including the installation of five vehicle scanners.

For his part, al-Tarabulsi provided a summary of his meeting with the Tunisian Interior Minister regarding the organization of the crossing between the two countries to facilitate the movement of citizens.

It's worth noting that the movement through the Ras Jedir crossing has been suspended since March 19th following armed clashes between military factions.
