The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj met Sunday in Tripoli with the Spanish ambassador to Libya and discussed the reopening of Spain’s embassy as well as the activation of joint commissions, reported Al-Sirraj’s media office.

The meeting was also attended by the Foreign Minister Mohammed Sayala and other officials.

The Spanish ambassador expressed his country’s support for the Presidential Council government, saying they are hoping to work more with Libya in economic, cultural and commercial fields.

Meanwhile, Al-Sirraj hailed Spain’s stance and support for his government, wishing the country’s embassy would soon resume work in Tripoli as it would help cooperation between the two countries.
