Swiss Foreign Minister, Ignazio Cassis has affirmed his country’s full support for the State of Libya and its stability.

This came during his meeting in Tripoli, with the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, during which they discussed the development of bilateral relations in all fields that serve the two countries, the upcoming elections on December 24, and the government's vision and readiness for this entitlement.

The meeting also saw discussions about the outputs of Berlin and Paris conferences, as well as the positive role of Switzerland in sponsoring many events such as the cease-fire agreement and the political agreement.

During a meeting with the head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, Cassis reaffirmed his country's continued support to achieve stability in Libya, with the success of the national reconciliation project, and the upcoming elections scheduled for next December.

For his part, Menfi praised the role of the State of Switzerland in achieving stability in Libya, and for hosting many meetings between the Libyan parties, under the auspices of the United Nations, which produced the executive authority represented by the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity.
