Sabha Municipal Council announced two deaths and 33 injuries among residents as a result of heavy rainfall since Saturday evening.
The Council said in a statement on Sunday morning: "The latest updates after emergency and rescue operations, the number of injured people has reached 33 with two people dead.” It pleaded to all residents to adhere to safety instructions.
It also called on residents to go to Sabha Medical Hospital for first aid and emergency cases. Al-Wahda School in Al-Jadeed neighborhood was designated as a place to shelter the affected families until the rainfall stops, according to the statement.
