Deputy Prime Minister/ Acting Minister of Health Ramadan Abu Janah has instructed the Emergency and Ambulance Services to declare a state of emergency in the southern region following severe rainfall and flooding.
Critical patients are being transferred to Tripoli for treatment, and authorities have been ordered to provide all necessary support to affected citizens.
Abu Janah has also directed municipalities in the southern region to form emergency response units and mobilize available resources to assist in the hardest-hit areas, including Sabha. The efforts are being coordinated with relevant authorities to protect both people and property.
The Ministry of Health, via its official Facebook page, confirmed that Abu Janah is closely monitoring the situation in Sabha and other flood-affected areas, underscoring that he had called for a thorough assessment of the damage and the delivery of medical and humanitarian aid to those in need.
