Al-Ahli Benghazi won 2-0 against Al-Ittihad in a delayed match from the fourth round of the Libyan Soccer League’s round-of-four at Benina stadium in Benghazi on Monday.
The two teams ended the first half 0-0 with attempts on both sides to win the game to their benefit, but in the second half, Al-Ahli Benghazi scored twice to win the match at the minutes 57 and 84.
Al-Ahli Benghazi thus tops the round-of-four with 7 points while Al-Ittihad and Al-Naser come second with 5 points and Al-Ahli Tripoli final with 3 points.
Al-Ahli Benghazi and Al-Ittihad’s match was supposed to be played last week but an assault on the players of Al-Ittihad by fighters from Al-Saiqa Force of Haftar’s Dignity Operation hindered the payers from arriving at the Benina stadium, leading to the cancellation of the match before the Libyan Football Federation decided the re-play.
