The Congolese Football Federation has submitted a formal request to the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to change the venue of their match against Libya on October 5 for the 2018 World Cup qualifier to a country other than Tunisia.

According to Congolese news outlets, the head of the Congolese federation said they were waiting for FIFA's decision to relocate the match without giving any specific reasons.

The Congolese team may have concerns over the pressure that will be imposed on them by the Tunisian fans who will attend the match to stand with the Libyan team.

Losing the match against Libya will result in Tunisia being qualified for the World Cup finals in Russia 2018.
